Fees, Child Care Subsidy And NSW Preschool Fee Relief
Get Set Grow Early Learning Centre is approved for the Australian Government Child Care Subsidy.
The Child Care Subsidy helps eligible families reduce their out-of-pocket childcare fees. Each family’s subsidy amount is based on Centrelink’s assessment, including family income, activity hours and the type of care used.
Families are encouraged to contact Centrelink directly or use the Child Care Subsidy calculator to estimate their subsidy.
Our team can support families with general enrolment guidance, including how to confirm enrolment details through Centrelink.
NSW Preschool Fee Relief
Get Set Grow Early Learning Centre is also an eligible service for the NSW Preschool Fee Relief program.
This means eligible families with preschool-aged children may be able to receive NSW Government fee relief to help reduce the cost of early childhood education and care.
Where a child is eligible, fee relief is applied directly to the family’s account in accordance with NSW Government funding guidelines. This support is designed to make quality preschool education more accessible for families while supporting children’s learning, development and school readiness.
Our team can guide families through the general process and provide information about how fee relief may apply to their child’s enrolment. Families are encouraged to speak with our office team during enrolment or when their child becomes eligible.
Frequently Asked Questions
What ages do you care for?
We provide early education and care for children from infancy through to preschool age. Our rooms and programs are designed to support children at each stage of their learning, development and wellbeing.
What are your opening hours?
We are open Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 6:00pm, excluding public holidays.
How do I enrol my child?
Families can contact our team, book a tour or complete an enrolment enquiry online. During the enrolment process, we will discuss your child’s routine, developmental needs, medical information, dietary requirements and any support your family may need to help your child settle into care.
Do you offer orientation visits?
Yes. We encourage orientation visits before a child’s first day. Orientation gives children and families time to meet educators, explore the room, become familiar with routines and build confidence before starting care.
Are meals provided?
Yes. Fresh, nutritious meals and snacks are provided each day through our partnership with Kids Gourmet Food. Mealtimes are calm, social and supportive, giving children opportunities to try new foods, build independence and develop healthy eating habits.
Can you support allergies or special dietary requirements?
Yes. We work closely with families and Kids Gourmet Food to support children with allergies, intolerances, medical dietary needs, cultural preferences and other special dietary requirements. Families should provide all relevant information during enrolment and update the centre if their child’s needs change.
Are nappies and wipes included?
Yes. Nappies and wipes are included for children who require them. Families are welcome to provide their own preferred products if their child has sensitive skin or specific care needs.
What should my child bring each day?
Families are encouraged to pack spare clothing, a labelled drink bottle, comfort items if needed, weather-appropriate clothing and any medication or personal items required for their child’s care. All belongings should be clearly labelled.
Do children need to bring sunscreen?
Sunscreen is provided and applied as part of our sun safety practices. Families are welcome to provide their own sunscreen if their child has sensitive skin or specific medical requirements.
Are you Child Care Subsidy approved?
Yes. Get Set Grow Early Learning Centre is approved for the Australian Government Child Care Subsidy. Families are encouraged to contact Centrelink directly to confirm their eligibility, approved hours and subsidy percentage.
Are you eligible for NSW Preschool Fee Relief?
Yes. Get Set Grow Early Learning Centre is an eligible service for the NSW Preschool Fee Relief program. Eligible preschool-aged children may receive fee relief in accordance with NSW Government funding guidelines.
Do you offer a preschool program?
Yes. Our preschool program supports school readiness, confidence, independence, early literacy, numeracy, emotional wellbeing and social development. We prepare children for school through play-based learning, intentional teaching, group experiences and everyday routines.
How do you support school readiness?
School readiness is developed through a balance of play, routines and intentional teaching. Children are supported to build independence, communication skills, emotional regulation, problem-solving, early literacy, numeracy, fine motor skills and confidence in group learning environments.
How will I know about my child’s day?
Families receive regular communication about their child’s routines, learning, wellbeing and daily experiences. Educators also communicate with families at drop-off and pick-up whenever possible.
How do you support children who are settling in?
We understand that starting care is a big step for children and families. Educators support children through warm relationships, predictable routines, comfort, reassurance and close communication with families. Each child is given time and support to settle at their own pace.
How do you manage sleep and rest?
Sleep and rest routines are based on each child’s individual needs, family information and safe sleep practices. Educators monitor children closely during rest times and communicate with families about sleep routines and changes.
What happens if my child is unwell?
If a child becomes unwell during the day, educators will contact the family and follow our health and illness procedures. Families are asked to keep children at home when they are unwell to support the health and wellbeing of all children, families and educators.
How do you manage medication?
Medication can only be administered with written family authorisation and in line with our medication procedures. Medication must be provided in its original packaging with the child’s name, dosage instructions and expiry date clearly visible.
How do you support children’s development?
Educators observe children’s learning, routines, communication, movement, social interactions and emotional wellbeing as part of everyday practice. These observations help us plan meaningful learning experiences and identify each child’s strengths, interests and emerging skills.
What happens if educators notice a developmental concern?
If educators notice that a child may benefit from additional support, we speak with families early, respectfully and professionally. We share observations, listen to family perspectives and may suggest families seek further guidance from health or allied health professionals where appropriate.
Do educators diagnose developmental delays?
No. Educators do not diagnose children. We share observations, work in partnership with families and support families to access further advice if needed.
How is CCTV used?
CCTV is used as an additional safety and security measure within the centre. It supports supervision, security, incident review and centre management. CCTV does not replace active supervision by educators.
Can parents view CCTV footage?
Because CCTV footage may include other children, educators or families, open access is not provided. If a family has a concern, management will review the matter and communicate appropriately while protecting everyone’s privacy.
How do you protect children’s privacy?
Children’s personal information, learning records, images, videos and family details are handled with care and confidentiality. Photos or videos shared on our website, social media or public platforms are only used where family consent has been obtained.
Who can collect my child?
Children can only be collected by authorised people listed by the family. If collection arrangements change, families must notify the centre directly. Identification may be requested before a child is released.
Do you offer incursions or special learning experiences?
Yes. We provide incursions and special learning experiences throughout the year to enrich children’s learning. These may include cultural celebrations, music, movement, health, safety, sustainability and community-based learning opportunities.
How do families stay involved?
We value strong partnerships with families. Families are encouraged to share information about their child’s interests, culture, routines, home experiences and developmental goals. This helps us create learning experiences that are meaningful and connected to each child.
